Get a Consumer Profile from one of South Africa's leading credit bureaus.

Experian is one of South Africa’s foremost credit bureaus, providing an extensive credit scoring database to organisations and consumers. The Experian Consumer Profile Search queries the Experian database for consumer information.

Experian can be used in addition to, or as an alternative to a TransUnion Consumer Profile Search, offering you the most comprehensive credit information.

Searches can be performed by supplying a surname and ID number as search criteria.

Search results may return the following information:

Consumer identification information

Information about the searched consumer, aliases, addresses, contact and past employment details.

Public records that may affect a consumer’s creditworthiness
  • Judgments on file – Details of any legal actions, including type, amount and date
  • Defaults on file – Details of any defaults, e.g., amount outstanding
  • Notices on file – Details of outstanding notices
  • Collections on file – Details of defaults on credit repayments
Enquiry history

Details of enquiries made, including type, date and name of the enquirer.

Consumer debt counselling information

This section will indicate whether a consumer has applied for debt rehabilitation. Should this section indicate that the consumer is under Debt Restructure, the NCA dictates no credit to be provided during the period.

Application for Payment Profile access(SACRRA members only) for the Experian Consumer Profile report:

Due to the operation of National Credit Act (NCA), regulations and guidelines, certain information on the Experian Consumer Profile search reports may be restricted if you are not registered with SACRRA. If you would like access to this restricted information, we will need to verify your SACRRA membership. The process for verification is as follows:

  • For existing WinCredit clients In order for us to verify your SACRRA membership, please complete the WinCredit Registration Form and submit it. Once the WinCredit form and additional information have been received and processed you will receive an email confirming your registration and have access to the restricted information on the Experian Consumer Profile search reports. Processing can be expected to take between 1 to 3 business days.
  • For new WinCredit clients In order for us to verify your membership, please complete the WinCredit Registration Form and submit it. Once the WinCredit form and additional information have been received and processed you will receive an email confirming your registration and have access to the restricted information on the Experian Consumer Profile search reports. Processing can be expected to take between 3 to 5 business days.

Please note all Consumer Profile searches are subject to the NCA, require a prescribed purpose and most often require written consent.  Please retain evidence of consent for at least one year in the case of an audit or dispute.  There is a consent form available at the bottom of this page if you do not have one of your own.
