Select “Download shortcut” from the search.windeed.co.za Login page.

Where the Lexis WinDeed shortcut is saved to when you select the ‘Download shortcut’ link on the Login page will depend on the browser being utilised.

Chrome will always attempt to save downloaded images and files to your default Download folder.
- On selecting the Download shortcut link, Chrome will request that you confirm that you would like to keep the file. Select the “Keep” option.

The shortcut will be downloaded to your default Downloads folder. The browser will indicate once it is done downloading the link.
- Right-click on the downloaded file at the bottom of your browser window and select ‘Show in Folder’. This action will open the folder where the shortcut was downloaded to.

- Copy and paste the shortcut from the Downloads folder to your desktop. Alternatively, drag the shortcut from the Downloads folder and drop it on your desktop.
Lexis WinDeed can now be accessed from your Desktop.

- On selecting the Download shortcut link, Firefox will request that you confirm that you would like to save the file. Select the ‘Save file’option.

The shortcut will be downloaded to your default Downloads folder. The browser will indicate once it is done downloading the link.
- Select the Downloads icon in the top right-hand corner of the browser. The downloaded shortcut will display in the list of downloads. Right-click on the downloaded file and select ‘Open Containing Folder’. This action will open the folder where the shortcut was downloaded to.

- Copy and paste the shortcut from the Downloads folder to your desktop. Alternatively, drag the shortcut from the Downloads folder and drop it on your desktop.
Lexis WinDeed can now be accessed from your Desktop.

- On selecting the ‘Download shortcut’ link, Internet Explorer will prompt you to choose what you would like to do with the file. Select the ‘Save as…’ from the list of options provided. You will be prompted to choose the location you want to save to. Select Desktop as you location and follow the prompts to save the shortcut.

Once completed, the browser will indicate that the shortcut was saved successfully.
